Tray Cable

Cole Wire offers a variety of control cables for installation in trays, wireways, troughs, channels, ducts and conduit. Specifically approved for direct burial, wet or dry locations and outdoors in cable trays where a sunlight resistant rating is required. Designed for control, power, lighting, telemetering, signals and relay or traffic control. These cables are recognized for use in Class 1 or 2, Division 2 hazardous locations as well as armored control cables that are recognized for Class 1 or 2, Division 1 hazardous locations.
The most common tray rated control cables are VNTC (Vinyl Nylon Tray Cable - TFN conductors, Black sunlight resistant PVC jacket) and XHHW-TC or XLP-TC (cross-linked polyethylene) with a sunlight resistant PVC jacket. Another commonly stocked tray rated cable is FR-EPR/CPE or FREP. This cable comes with a flame-retardant EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) insulation and a CPE (Chlorinated Polyethylene) jacket and provides even greater resistance to the elements.
